Canadian Loonie Pendant

OMG, this coin is from the first year the dollar bill was replaced with the “Loonie”! And how cool that it’s eleven-sided? The obverse side has Canada’s Head of State, Queen Elizabeth, II.

Here’s a little info: “The 1-dollar bill was replaced in 1987 by a new eleven-sided circulation coin nicknamed the 'Loonie'. Robert-Ralph Carmichael's popular design features a Canadian loon, and is made of aureate bronze.”

What a beautiful coin! It’s so shiny that it’s really hard to get a good pic. We’ve set it in a handmade sterling silver prong bezel. The bail fits perfectly onto our Classic Rolo Chain and you can show off either side of the coin! We can also make a $29 stainless ball chain, if you’d prefer.
