The Marianne Coin Pendant

1 in stock

You will adore this 20 Centimes French 1968 coin pendant! Marianne (pronounced [maʁjan]) has been the national personification of the French Republic since the French Revolution, as a personification of liberty, equality, fraternity and reason, as well as a portrayal of the Goddess of Liberty. She is set in a handmade custom, sterling silver prong bezel. It was my pleasure creating this coin pendant!

The obverse depicts Marianne in left profile wearing the Phrygian cap of liberty, a national emblem of France, while the reverse side is the face value, surrounded with a wheat ear, an olive branch and the French motto: "LIBERTE - EGALITE - FRATERNITE" (liberty, equality, fraternity) in Latin script.

Marianne is shown with a substantial, oxidized silver and diamond necklace, paired with a sparkly pave diamond cross pendant. Contact me to purchase.  And take a look at other chain options in the RKJ Signature Coins and Necklaces section.

What a timeless and fabulous pendant for your collection!
