English Floral Emblems Necklace

1 in stock

Truly a favorite layering piece. And the back-story is an amazing conversation starter! A 15-year old was told by his teacher that it would be a good idea to widen his portfolio for University admissions and submit a design for the new English Pound. Did I mention, only 15 years old!

Over 6,000 applicants entered the contest, and David Pearce was the winner! His winning design features the floral emblems of the nations of the United Kingdom – the English rose, the Welsh leek, the Scottish thistle and the Northern Irish shamrock, emerging fro one stem within a royal coronet. The obverse has the Head of State, Queen Elizabeth, II.

This is such a great story! The coin is much prettier than the pictures. Very hard to capture. The 12-sided pendant is shown on a 25” stainless ball chain, with an upgraded lobster clasp. What a great layering necklace. And the two-tone metal makes it even easier to mix and match with your own collection!

Special Notes: The chain can be made shorter.
