This is a substantial piece that is unisex. The obverse displays a right-facing portrait of Alexander the Great, surrounded by the legend “King of the Macedons.” A dimensional rope embellishes the detail of this gorgeous coin, creating a shadowbox design.
On its reverse is the Vergina Sun. Wow! Such an historical symbol, first appearing in ancient Greek art between the 6th and 2nd centuries BC.
